This has to got to be one of the coolest Rube Goldberg around.

This video has come across my desk several times the last few days but I never really bothered to click play until Ben Andino shared it on my facebook page. Not only did I have to hit pause and rewind it a half dozen times or so but I found myself laughing out loud during some of the segments. Every photographer will recognize products like the Gary Fong Lightsphere, Gorillapod, Lastolite Hilite, Canon Lens Mug, Strobe Snoot, and countless other photography staples. I can’t imagine how long this Rube Goldberg setup took to build and get working 100% but I know I’m still not sure how several of the segments worked (like Mario and the instant print). My favorite part was definitely the TSA scanner. What part did you guys find the most entertaining? Check out the behind the scenes below to see how 2D Photography made this.

Those are some serious planning and patience put together to create such an epic photographer's Rube Goldberg. Be prepared to be amazed!

Olympus reveals PEN E-P3, E-PL3 and E-PM1

Media_httpwwwblogcdnc_fbgcy

You won't be coloring us surprised at the launch of the E-PM1, but those other two? Well, let's just say we've always been big fans of the elusive trifecta. Olympus just went live with the PEN E-P3 (shown above), PEN E-PL3, and PEN E-PM1, three 12.3 megapixel interchangeable lens cameras with Live MOS sensors, TruePic VI image processors and an ISO ceiling of 12,800. You'll also get a reengineered autofocus system, a 1080i HD video mode, newly designed user interfaces and a variety of Art Filters. The E-P3 is outfitted with an all-metal body and "the world's fastest autofocus" (really?), while the rear is dotted with a 614,000 pixel OLED touchscreen. The E-PL3 steps it up with a 3-inch tilting LCD, while the smallest and lightest of the PEN line (yeah, the E-PM1) will be shipping in a half-dozen hues. The outfit also revealed a new pair of prime lenses, a camera grip and a FL-300R flash, all of which are detailed in the source links below. The bad news? Only the P3 is being priced, with USD$900 landing you a fairly swank kit this August.

Micro4/3 fans rejoice! Olympus recently revealed the new PEN E-PL3. I would love to get my hands on one soon to try out the new autofocusing system which is reported as "the world's fastest autofocus"

Never take a blur picture again! Is this too good to be true? #Lytro

Both the technological and Photography world have been set abuzz by a tech company, Lytro. The 'Light Field' technology enables the camera sensor to record more light than normal sensor, coupled with a special software which enables users to choose the focusing point of the picture after the picture is already taken.

Looks too good to be true if you ask me.

My feeble attempt at printsgram.com #instagram

Printsgram.com allows you to create posters made out of your Instagram photos in PDF format. I then opened it in Illustrator an printed in tiles and stuck them all together using tape. It's actually more crude than it looks in the pictures but that's because of my eagerness to piece the tiles together. The site also allows you to create cubes printed with Instagram photos. I'm actually tempted to send the file to a print shop to get a professionally printed poster.
